Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Awaken the Self

"Raise yourself so high that destiny asks for your consent."
Allama Iqbal

Why Allama Iqbal Still Matters

Iqbal believed that every human being carries an untapped strength within. He called it Khudi—the awakened self. To him, life was not about becoming someone else. It was about becoming fully yourself. His philosophy continues to inspire people to live with courage, purpose, and responsibility.

Am I becoming the person I was created to be?

01

Strength Begins Within

Real power does not come from wealth, status, or approval. It grows quietly from character.

02

Purpose Gives Life Direction

A person without purpose is easily carried by circumstances. A person with purpose creates their own path.

03

Never Stop Becoming

Growth is not reaching perfection. It is refusing to remain asleep.

As a young scholar, Iqbal travelled to Europe to study philosophy and law.

He admired Western science, discipline, and intellectual freedom.

Yet he also saw a civilization that often possessed great material progress but struggled with spiritual emptiness.

Instead of choosing East or West, Iqbal sought to unite the strengths of both.

He encouraged people to cultivate knowledge, faith, action, and self-respect—believing that true progress begins with an awakened individual.

Which part of myself have I neglected because I was busy becoming what others expected?
